Welcome to a brief introduction to the bridge division of Don Facciobene, Inc.! As a company, we have been in business since 1987 as a licensed general contractor in the state of Florida. Our bridge division (known as DFI Bridge Corp.) offers professional services in the design and on-site construction of heavy timber structures including bridges, walkways, retaining walls, and shelters. We offer our service throughout the United States, by mobilizing one of our construction teams to your project site. Our staff consist of highly trained professionals who bring many years experience in the design and construction of heavy timber structures to your project team. -We offer design & construction services for the following products:
Heavy Highway & Residential Vehicular Bridges (AASHTO HS-20-44)
Golf Cart & Light-duty Maintenance Bridges (10 TON –2 ˝TON G.V.W.)
Pedestrian & Walkway Bridges
Retaining Walls or Bulkheads (along lake or pond edge)
Other Structures: Gazebos, Shelters, Tee Boxes Etc.
-All Curb railings are fastened with a timber bolt fastening system for greater resistance to material movement.
-All Bridge decking is fastened with stainless steel screws rather than nails or spikes. The screws are countersunk to avoid periodic tightening or tamping down duet to lumber shrinkage. This saves your maintenance staff’s valuable time for other duties.
-All handrail and curb railings are specified as #1 grade KDAT (kiln dried after treatment) lumber to minimize potential material movement and de-lamination.
-All handrail railings are fastened with stainless steel screws for greater resistance to material movement.
-Our wing-wall abutment design offers greater resistance to undermining and other soil erosion concerns, and provides a more attractive appearance.
Service Specific:
-Construction from bridge deck level when required, otherwise from cart path with or without construction mats.
-Our project mangers provide service from start to finish of your project. This detail lends to greater continuity throughout your project schedule.
